In Step One, a variety of music literature is selected through a voting process from a list created by the entire ensemble. The music selected must represent the varied interests and musical genres determined by the members. The first several rehearsals serves as an introduction to the music that will be explored over the season. The ensemble reads through portions of the works and the director provides a general background of the pieces, to inspire their curiosity about the music.
Each musician is given a questionnaire to determine goals and possible contributions they would like to share. Exactly what the members decide to do is based entirely upon what they want to accomplish through the music.

During Step 2 the members of the LEADERSHIP TEAM prepares their own rehearsal plans for the pieces they have chosen. In order to prepare effective rehearsal strategies, the leaders collaborate with the INSTRUCTIONAL TEAM to guide the ensemble toward performing the music with deeper understanding and greater musical skill. The RESEARCH TEAM investigates ways to improve the ensemble and shares their discoveries with our members. The PERFORMANCE-Creating team prepares solos/ensembles connected with the chosen literature, or self-composed music. The Outreach team promotes the ensemble through communications, recruitment, publicity posters, or a social outreach connection. The Enhancement team creates artistic projects such as dance interpretations, slide shows, stage designs, and audience participation during the Informance. The Informance team stage crew is completely in charge of the final presentation in Step 3.
Step 3 is The INFORMANCE The difference between a performance and our Informance is that audience becomes informed and shares a part of the music making experience. Infused in the performance of the music, you bring the audience toward a deeper understanding of the music. You may have a pre-Informance talk which may include presentations such as artwork that interprets the music, or the composer and conductor providing an open rehearsal and discussion with audience . The music enhancements of dance, artwork, audience participation creates an enlightened experience where the boundaries of director-musician-audience dissolve into an greater aesthetic experience. You may also utilize the environment to bring a closer connection with the audience. You might perform out in the audience or by bringing the audience to different locations to provide an up close and personal experience with the musicians.
